A large part of the restaurant and café industry will be under pressure if they have to close the gas and heating lamps. Entrepreneurs have developed a heating pad which saves up to 95% CO2 emissions and reduces the bill to a fraction of 50%.
As Tv Avisen and Børsen have focused on, the restaurant and cafe industry across the country is under pressure to switch off the heat and gas lamps when serving outside, as they strain the power supply and do not contribute to the green transition.
- Outdoor dining is, however, an important part of the industry's business, and many guests want to sit outside. But a lot can be done to reduce energy consumption in connection with outdoor heating. The structure of the outdoor space can be looked at, that outdoor heating becomes more need-based and that more efficient types of heating can be looked at, says Mikal Holt Jensen, environmental manager at HORESTA and head of the secretariat for Green Key.
