Study mates from DTU Jon Sødergreen and Marcus Vang sat and looked out over Nyhavn. The heat lamps burned outside at the outdoor dining areas as darkness fell and the cold set in.
But the more they looked at it, the more it dawned on them that a large part of the heat lamps did not warm people at all - instead they burned out into the open. In short, they spent a lot of power on something that produced no real effect.
